Default "Cat" pans

Anyone have a picture of a starboard cat style oil pan pan. I am talking about the style of pans where the kickout goes toward the center of boat. I am trying to see how the kickout area is handled where the oil filter goes. Thanks

With a kick-out style pan on the port side of a BBC, you will need to use an adaptor and route oil lines to a remote mounted oil filter. Even with a std pan, the filter is difficult to access if it is mounted on the block.

unless you are spinning the engine baclwards or driving in a specific circle, can't see why you would want a kick out on that side...the purpose is to get the oil away from the crank and making H/P...Rob

Thanks for the pic, exactly what I needed to see. Engine builder is concerned about having the kickout on the "wrong" side of the engine. Concerned about how well the pan will work as far as oil control. Any thoughts?

Teague cat pans have an internal windage tray designed for performance marine usage. If the part has Bob's name on it, you can trust that it is a great part. Just check the pan rails for straightness. That is the only drawback to a "stamped" pan. KE cast aluminum pans are the shetz. Too bad they don't come in a side kickout version.

Do you have a pic of the inside of the pan in the left picture?

Call Teague and ask for Eric in Sales. He has been quite helpful in many of my past purchases.
