Default Scan tool needed

HI- We are looking for a scan tool than can give us the run down of how our engines were run prior to us. Is this possible? My husband says he thinks it is but wanted to see if there is anyone in our area that would be interested in taking a look for us? The boat is an 03 sonic 31ss with twin 575sci's. Thanks in advance...

BTW, we are located in South Bend, IN.

If you have no luck finding some one with a scaner tool, Then really it would be a good idea to own one for your self, Here is a link to rinda, The hand held black box scaner would work good for you.You can call them to order if you want to. Then all you would need is a service manual to your engine some day. Good luck with it.http://www.rinda.com/marine/marine.htm

Shouldn't this have been done before you bought it?????

Any merc repair facility should be able to scan them for about an hour labor. They can tell you what rpms they have been ran at and for how long.
