The ignition module from 87-95 chevy truck is identical to your merc motor, assuming the module has a 2 pin connector and a 4 pin connector as well as the two pin going to the reluctor. Make sure you didn't plug the reluctor 2 pin connector in backwards. Also make sure to use heat sink compound underneath the module to transfer the heat to the distributor housing or the module will get too hot and you will lose output at high loads/rpm.

do you know of any options for a TB V. I am looking for 1 ingnition modules that are the old style 4 pin mounted on the triangular plate.
