Joe,
I ran a sleeve in my Merlin block for years.. Only problem was the first machine shop that put it in, knew too much and didnt put a step in the bore to seat the sleeve. It would slide up and down.. I say that because they wouldnt listen to me when I asked about it.. They are suppose to be one of the better shops in the area. I found they were just the most arrogant shop around..
Finally got a machine shop to do it right, and no problems with it since then!! Any good machine shop can get the sleeves and install them, but ask questions.. especially about the step in the bore.
Good luck with it..

One other thing to keep in mind. I will only use thin sleeves. The thick sleeves sometime require boring the block so that you bust through into the water jacket. I will not sleeve a block unless the sleeve can be supported all the way around. If it busts through the water jacket and there is nothing left to support the sleeve, then I will replace the block. You should be able to do it without much of a problem. Good luck.
