Question lack of power

i have twin 540 blower motors after sitting for the winter one of the motors has very little power beond 2800 rpm timing is 33 at 3000 rpm fuel presure is good replace blower and carb gaskets went though carbs every thing looks good. compression is all within 5 pounds the motor starts and idels good the only thing i changed over the winter was put differant props on the boat any ideas !!!

What blower are you runing and is it making any boost?

I had similar - my problem was # 2 & # 4 plugs wires were reversed, they are on opposite sides of the cap so no back fire, engine idles 800 rpm ld never know you were down 2 cyl until you hit the gas , you wou-Worth a look

TRY PUTTING THE OLD PROPS ON,THEN GO FOR A TEST RIDE,IF IT STILL WONT GO,YOU HAVE JUST RULED OUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A PROP ISSUE.GOOD LUCK.

blower mooneyham 871 blowers are in good condition i have not ran this motor much past 3500 rpm just in case of a lean condition it is getting 1 pound of boost at 3000 rpm plug wires are correct ??? ill try a prop change that could the problem but how could look the same pitch and diameter and marked 18-28 be so far off ???
