fresh 496 builds with video
just thought i would post a thread showing what i gave up boating for this summer. my project took a little longer than expected however the end result is that i am pleased. i have many thanks to this ongoing project. most of whom are on this board.
-496 ci
-forged assm.
-dart 310 rec. ports (valako)
-dart intake
-holley 800 cfm
-comp cam custom grind hyd. roller (gellner)
-super sucker spacer
-stock tb-1V ign.
-9.8 to 1 comp.
estimated hp at 5800 rpm (600-610)
dean gellner was a great help and assisted throughout the biuld.

the video clips as you know don't do much justice however they really bark. it's a good thing i boat up north or i would never get away with the noise. up here the cops and coast guard give you a thumbs up. i remember those day in grand haven. i had to get pulled in and out of the channel most of the time.
in regards to the head - it was sent to dart and they immeadiately took action and assumed it to be defective and sent another one out next day. i must say the end result is i was satisfied. a little po'd at first but as you know some times these rebuilds with all the time and cost involved can get a little agrivating. i really like their heads and will continue to.
