Boat Leans (Lists) to Starboard

I always have to use my Starboard trim tab to stay level on my 1994 Cgarette Top Gun. Is this normal?

My boat leans slightly to starboard at rest but doesn't need tabs to correct it under way. My problem is that the helm is a heavy layup and I don't have the 9 gal water tank on the port side anymore. My sliding door goes to starboard too so I have to keep the door closed while under way.I'm in the process to move the starboard battery to portside this winter. You should try moving stuff to port .

When my tabs are up, the boat leans starboard while cruising.
I have to use the starboard tab about a quarter the way down on the indicator. Number 3-4. I took out my toilet and tank on the starboard side hoping this would fix the problem. It didn't help. My ice chest is on the starboard side inside the cabin. It usually weighs around 20 lbs. I didn't think 20 lbs would make that much of a difference on a 38 foot boat that weighs 12000lbs.

Time for a diet or put your wallet on the port side....

Have you checked the hull for a excessive hook?

I noticed it when I changed from 4 blade hydromotive props to 5 blade maximus props. I thought that maybe my Maximus props were not the same, but my throttle position and rmp on both engines are the same. I also added 2 batteries in the engine room on the starboard side for my stereo. The engine batteries are on the port side. They should cancel each other out as far as weight goes.

My 93 Cafe does the exact same thing. You definately have more weight on the starboard side between the insert for the ice chest and the fiberglass mold for the head. I run a little tab to make go straight but agree I wish I did not have it. I think it is a design flaw. Post this in the Cigarette forum and see what people have to say. I would be interested in the responses as well.

May I ask a question? If you are not running any tab and it is listing and then you add stbd tab to straighten it out, why not adjust drive trim and not drag tab, or RPM's?
Just curious.

98' 32 fever, 04' Gladiator both powered by Ford
My gladiator does the same thing while cruising. 50-70mph. Boat is carefully balanced so it sits level at rest. Steering is on the port and it does it when I am alone.

It also rides level at speed in triple digits, which is where it counts. Some props are worse than others. All my props are lab matched. I turn in BTW. I would like to figure it out.
