496ho Exhaust Manifold Gaskets
I need to replace the exhaust manifold gaskets on my 496 HO equipped with aluminum exhaust manifolds. Merc wants a small fortune for their gaskets. Does anyone have a comparable part number for say Felpro? Or is there some magic to the Mercruiser product. Also, what is the function of the turbulator and does it need to be there--appears to restrict the exhaust. Thanks... Bill
