Default elbows?

Im putting a thru hull exhaust on my boat, how do you remove the elbows to the thru prop they are on tight and I dont want to damage anything

Do you mean the elbow attached to the manifold or the one with rubber couplers on each end? If its the one with the rubber, loosen all the clamps real good and try and turn it some to break it loose. Sometimes you have to stuff a screwdriver between the rubber and the elbow to break the seal. It aint always easy.

are you talking about the y pipe looks more like a u but raps around under the bellhousing and is held in with 4 bolts?James

its the part with the 2 rubber couplers between the y pipe and the manifold elbow
