Default Bravo prop's?

New to the performance boating thing. Do Bravo prop's fit on Imco drives? Specifically Imco SC?

Yes, as long as the propeller has the correct size insert.

A lot of the parts in the Imco are just Merc parts. Not sure about the prop shaft, but they are the same size and splined the same as the Merc Bravo. There are 2 different size diameter prop shafts used in Merc Bravo drives. You just need the correct prop hub kit.

Thanks, So would you say the Bravo XR is the same drive as an Imco SC? How much power will a SC handle?

Same gears, same bearings, seals, races. The only diff is the shafts & cases.
As far as how much they will handle??? They break.

Jason Smith can tell you how much HP it takes to break them regularly

I ran an Imco SC upper behind 550hp in a 5500# boat for almost 300hrs and never had a failure.

I have a customer with a Teague platinum upper and IMCO SC lower 850 blown HP, the lower lasted just under 50 hours the upper is still holding strong @ about 70 hours 4500# boat run hard. I have the same boat just a few years newer with about 600 hp, not run so hard. It has the IMCO Extreme SC upper and lower 90 hours still holding strong.

Jeff ran 900+ through them before I got them.

I've only broken one side 3 times. I think after it ran out of oil the 1st break there was something just not right about the case.
I've got a new upper case now so we'll see how 2010 treats me.

I didn't even realize that your drives were Jeff's old ones. Hopefully 2010 will be better. I heard you had issues before the MWBP Poker Run, but figured you got them all worked out before you ran in the Shootout.
