Default 496's and TRS drives?

Does anyone know if TRS drives will work with 496's.

Sure they will. Any BB Chevy will work assuming you have the complete drive package; transmission-transom assembly-drive.

You will just have to change the bell housing if the 496 was set up for a Bravo. Depending on the boat, you may have a rear motor mount to install as well.
