Default Drive position indicator adjustments

Any advice on adjusting my blue water mechanical indicators on my bravo drives. Appears to be a nutted adjuster at the gage as well as the adjustment available on the stops on the trim cylinder clamps. Best to even them out in the UP , Down or in the neutral position for adjustment ? Or do they never really run evenly anyway? (new at the twins thing) Thanx, Warren

They will run even if you take the time to set them up right. I put a spring on mine to pull them constantly down. The new ones do not need that. Then what ya do is set them up all the way in and addust them so that they are almost all the way down on the guage. The Tabs you do the same set the all the way up however. From there you can addust to your preference as soona s you know there is enough movement in the guage.

Default Drive postion indicators

The proper way to adjust the indicators is to put the drive in the down postion all the way. Look at the indicatior on the dash. The indication should be appox. neg. 1/2. To adjust firt make sure the the clamp on the piston rod is as far from the transom as possible, next lossen the clamp around the piston and move either forward or backwards to get the desired reading -1/2. Now tight up the clamps. exercise the drives and check indicators., if done properly the readings should be good,if not fine tune. hope this helps

Another thing to check (this happened on my boat) is the clamps on the trim cylinder. Mine loosened up on one drive and the indicator was alays one notch off. Just a thought!
