intake 454
what is a good intake for a 454 with a tad bit bigger cam than stock, and imco exhaust, that would be better than stock intake on it now. it is a older late 80s motor in a 25 checkmate.

I have not used it personally however keep up with the shop talk at the speed shops. That intake seems to be the number 1 choice for most any engine build from 454-496. My latest 496 builds I went with Darts however was a tuff decision to make. 496 in my opinion is borderline. I have never been in big fan of single plan on anything less. You sacrifice low and mid.

I run the RPM Air-Gap, but have tried the Victor Jnr, the Torker, Torker 2.0 and a Dart intake. For your set up (and most others too) the RPM Air-Gap is unmatched!
Make sure you get it gasket matched to the manifold gaskets on the intake side and try and get the heads matched too.
I haven't seen the 'Crosswind' product but the Edelbrock quality is second to none.
Good Luck!
