It will not leave until it is done, and done correctly. We are actually shooting for a real low rpm piece with over 1000 hp. The goal is to keep max rpms around 5500 rpms, yet get the most over 1000 hp that we can. I am going pretty conservative on the cam to keep the rpms down. I am shooting for a maintenance free hyd. roller that will last 250-300 hours. I already have a few that are just under 1000 hp that are approaching 300 hours, so this shouldn't be that difficult of a goal to reach.
Eric, I will send you some more pics on Sun. I have the oil pans on for good and the heads are on. They are starting to look like engines again.
We will keep you guys posted as the build progresses. Thank you everyone for the kind words.

Used engines are a gamble. I've bought and sold them with mixed results. New engines with brand new parts yield the best results for me, but are always $$$$$$$$.....And that's that.

Eddie's done some more work this week. First couple of photos are of opening oil drain back holes in the heads. Note the AFR's are not open in design like the Brodix, etc and Eddie believes that is good to open the drainbacks as a lot of oil will be dumped in there. The quad whipples are pressure oiled and the oil will be dumped back in the valve covers. The first photo is before.

Intakes were mocked up to verify port fit, etc..... Eddie is waiting on some Morel lifters to be able to select push rods and complete valve train. He is going to go ahead and paint them a House of Colors orange/pearl metallic with clear coat. This will match the gel of the DCB well.
