Just giving this thread a bump. I removed my cats, there were 3 on each side. 6 cats on this motor! I also got my air intake adapter machined to remove the restrictor plate. Whipple received my PCM last Friday April 25th. I'm all ready to go once whipple sends the PCM back. I will take it for a test drive as soon as I get it back.

Well, I finally went for a test run and it didn't go well. I'm getting an alarm under hard throttle around 4500-4600 rpm. It's cutting the motor out with a long continuous beep. The warning says "guard active". I'll be calling whipple to see what the problem is.

Brian,
I went back through the cal, looks like I may have left the exhaust manifold
coolant temp guardian on. And if there not plugged in right now, they will
set a EMCT high or low fault. I had to build a new file for yours, must have
missed that. For a test, you could remove the sensors from the stock exhaust
and plug them in and see if the guardian goes away (it should). There was
also one O2 adapt check I missed but I don't think that will set a code
since the function is turned off.
If you want to get the PCM off and shipped back to me, I'll overnight it
back to you.
Thanks
Dustin

As i think before there something with your CAT deactivation!
At my engine is at moment the stock exhaust mounted! So this will not a problem at me as both sensors mount at my exhaust!
But good to know that they must deactivated if i ever mount an CMI or so.
The exhaust on my engine is same as 496,so i try to hold it some times as they not so bad as CAT exhaust!
Thanks for info and pleas tell if you get is run next time and how much more performance you boat get!!
