We all had S bends . Nothing that was out of the normal exhaust set up that I always see.

I'm looking into th CMI's or Eddie marine thunder. Anyone put either of these on their 2010plus 8.2

I use the CMI plugandplayversion! Work good and headers fit easy!
Need so work with the water and Oil lines as oilfilter must be relocated at non cat engines.
the gas cooler is in the way for the cmi water tube.But with some longer hoses from aftermarket it make all ready.

I would think new exhaust would add a good deal of hp and torque if removing the cats and stock exhaust, converting to a straight non-cat CMI type setup. Lots of restriction in those cats. Would need a re-flash I would think. Anyone else done it?

I have done! Dustin call it Stage 3!
But i have before the non Cat exhasut on the engine.

Has anybody had an 8.2 Mag lock up ? Not hydraulic but a hard lock with #2 spark plug smashed, motor has 160 hours no alarms did not over heat just straight up took a sh--- ?

replied on your other thread. Really not many of the 8.2 catalyst merc engines has even sold. and not many up here with them. .

What had to be done to move the cool fuel/ I am putting Gil style manifolds from Hardin and the cool fuel needs to be moved a couple inches.The manifold hits the fuel line about an inch or so from where it comes out of the cool fuel. Looking for suggestions / pictures Thanks

It allways much work at this engine when change the exhaust. i go for CMi and must relocated oilfilter and remove an plate at the fuelcooler.Think i have done a way that work as engines runs so 140 hours.
Also take tome paint and decals!

It has much power and run only 2-3 kmH slower than same boat with 525 EFI before!
Also take tome paint and decals!
