Default RTV/ Ultra Black on intake gaskets?

How do you install your intake gaskets on 502's with factory alum gm intake, brass lines for salt water use.

Having a hard time sealing up the water ports on my 502, its a newmotor, with a new intake and it was leaking water into the top of lifter valley, wasn't mixing with oil yet, just puddles on top of oilplash shield.

Used Mercruiser gaskets before the ones with orange rings on one side and composit back. Looks like the rtv orange i used didnt seal up good on the underside of gasket.

Get very mixed install tips on weither to use ultrablack aroundcooling ports or run gasket dry.

Picked up a set of felpro 1211 and 17341gaskets..

rite stuff and ultra black is almost the same stuff,,ultra black is a little thinner,,when applying the surfaces have to be oil free so wipe down the surfaces with fast dry brake clean or lacquer thinned or the rite stuff wont stick..

WARNING!!

once the rite stuff is applied and Set's up good luck getting it apart!

i used it once on a diff cove and had to take it back odd a few weeks later,i bent the piss out of the diff cover to get it off!
