Advancing the cams will help because the exhaust closes sooner. Also make sure the exhaust valves seal well as leaking exhaust valves will pull exhaust back into the cylinders at that point.

Another option could be to weld a tiny dam/lip inside the risers to prevent water from creeping back up.

heads were just done last winter everything new, they leak down all cylinders 5 to 7 %

I believe I have mentioned several times to you it matters greatly where the cam is degreed in. Particularly with the 741 because the overlap angle is high. If it is retarded you increase your EVC angle which gives more downward swept volume of the piston while the exhaust valve is open, regardless of lsa.

Did that last year as per your advice griff.

Been runing a 741 with EMI Thunder for about 4 years, procharged 540 - no signs of reversion.

540, AFR Heads, 741, cmi's, procharged No signs of reversion. I even have a wide band O2 sensor in exhaust with no problems.

741 cam, silent choice, both with teh blower and w/o. No issues. And these risors are not only the low ones, but shortened for the silent choice

That's the same set up minus the blower we had on the challengers. NO issues...either
