no. the stainless is only one type of hose and the "pushlock" aeroquip does everything that the stainless does. you need the stainless when the the interior is teflon for extremely hi presure applications. for oil and fuel, the push lock non stainless has a lot of benefits over the stainless except for appearence.

the rubber hose doesn't chew thru everything it touches either. for flow and performance they are exactly the same.
