Default mercruiser mpi wont start

hi all,i have a problem with a 5.0 mpi merc its a 03 model.now here is the problem i put about 3 hrs on the boat and then ran out of fuel.i put fuel in and ran again for about an another 3 hrs.i put the boat away,and then went out today.ran for about 10 mins and it just died.i pulled the water sep fuel filter.and was full of milky substance.so changed the filter and now wont start.but will run with fuel sprayed down the intake.checked the pump and it is fine
.i need help

thanks for the reply,how do i pressuirize the fuel system?

ok i now have the white fuel gone.i then today tried to run the boat on an outboard tank and just couldnt get the engine to full power.it would run very rough and then start to backfire thruogh the intake i have lots of fuel pressure.fresh water seperator.but runs like its only running on five cyls,wont idle,and stalls while under load.i have had boats for years and i cant figure this one out.please any help is appreciated.

also i dont expect someone to fix my boat over the computer.im in saskatchewan canada.and my local dealer has no clue what the problem is.he is a great guy just does mainly outboards up to 60 hp,mainly on pontoon boats.

what is the procedure for cleaning the injectors i kinda need step by step.thanks

Try running it off the outboard tank, with some seafoam mixed in, then let it sit, and try again.

i dont think that i can get seafoam where i am at is there anything else that could be used?thank you very much for the reply.

Have you changed the spark plugs???? They could easily be fouled from the bad fuel.
