twin 300xs with different fuel burn?!?
Curious for input or if it's a problem that can be solved.
I have twin 300xs's each with their own tanks.
On the recent JOTJ, we did about 210-215 miles.
Port engine used 55 Gallons max rpm 5575
Starboard engine used 46.8 Gallons max rpm 5750
Call Merc Racing they said Port engine always works harder?!?!?!
We hooked them up to the computer and both read clean with no issues.
Truth or bunk??
Help appreciated.

I've got a pair of 300XS's on a 28 Skater. On a day of boating I will usually cover 60% of whatever distance I travel at 45mph, 30% at 75ish mph, and 10% at more than 100mph. If my port engine(left hand gearcase) were to use 10 gallons of fuel, my starboard engine(right hand gearcase) will use 11. And the starboard engine uses slightly more oil, of course. I would have thought the left hand gearcase would have been less efficient at putting the power to the water, but my personal fuel burn numbers don't support my theory. So I am going to chalk it up to manufacturing tolerences...
