Default Bleeding air out of steering system.

I replaced the four hoses that go from my transom to the steering cylinders and have a bunch of air in the rams and lines. This boat has electric power steering and I topped off the fluid in the pump and turned it on, it dropped halfway but still no steering. I opened the fittings on one of the the rams and got the some movement out of the steering when some air came out.

Is there any order or method to opening the fittings on the rams to get all of the air out? This is a 90 MPH boat and I can't afford to have sloppy steering.

Thanks

if their is a lock to lock position just hold the steering wheel on the lock position, then walk away and turn it to the other lock position..make sure you keep the reservoir full.. it will start to move after a few rounds..

When i changed the hoses on marine machine system i made some conections and connected the two hoses on each side together.I just kept turning the wheel from right to left circulating the fluid. It also helps to fill the cylinders with fluid as well as you can.Hope this helps.
