sorry guys its 49ho with around 150hrs. so should we get a 19p mirage or anything other ideas...just spend $500 on the 24p so i dont really wanna buy another prop if its not gonna make a big difference for the 22p i have.

That's a big boat for only 425 hp. That's why it's only going 57. Maybe you could have your 22 pitch worked for 200 more rpm. Might get you 2 0r 3 more mph. To go any faster is going to take extensive modifications and lots of money. I would suggest supercharging but that engine with it's cast pistons doesn't do well with supercharging. So you really need to start at square one.

Your actually at your perfect setup pulling the 22 pitch prop to the top of the range.

talked to someone by me and he is going to rework the 22p and gain maybe 2-400rpm and have it running to its max. I dont get why the owners of commander are saying that boat runs at least 65?..ive talked to mechanics and they all say 60mph loaded with people and drinks is good enough.Dont know who to believe now.

Don't beleive everthing you hear about top speed on boats. Most everyone here would only quote a speed number off GPS or Radar. A lot of guys take the speed of the "Dream O Meter" and some add to that. They are all 3-5MPH off, even the so called good ones. I used to before I got a GPS, that was years ago.

I had a guy the other day said his boat did 65MPH. When I pulled up next to him I was only doing 58.
