Griff, Thanks. I'm switching to an stainless marine hi-torque with captains call compatibility. Hopefully it will bring me closer too 5000 rpm.

Definately exhaust first... then a Edelbrock Victor manifold, a 1" HVH super sucker manifold spacer... and a 1050 carb.

My naturally aspirated 540 made 685 lbs of torque and 685 horsepower with some AFR 305cnc heads and a RMBuilder cam.

I tried all sorts of intake/carb combo's. The Dominator was only down 5 ft/lbs of torque at 2000 rpm, and was up 38hp on the top end compared to a Victor Jr manifold and a 850 carb.

I could not tell if there was any change up to 5400rpm till the back barrels open up. If their was any change it was very little. My carb was custom built so the fuel curve was perfect. But at wide open thats a different story.
