Default Vacuum gauge vs oil puked in beilge

Just installed a vacuum gauge to monitor the load @ various RPMs. Pulled the drain plug after spending a couple hours skiing the other night & had a lot of oil in the beilge mixed w/ water. Checked the dip stick & no oil registered. Did a quick glance over the motor & couldn’t immediately tell where the oil was coming from. I’m going to look into it more closely tonight but wondering if the new vacuum gauge (possible leak) could have anything to do with it? Seems doubtful but I thought I’d ask.

Under normal circumstances, the intake tract (where you pull a vacuum reading from) and the oiling system (including the crankcase/sump) are completely separate systems. There's always the chance that you stepped on an oil cooler hose or something, and contributed to an issue that resulted in a leak in the pressure side of the oiling system, though.

Best of luck.

Yeah, tapped into the intake.

I'll start by checking the oil lines, cooler & filter. I must have knocked something loose?

edit
oil line on the cooler was loose
