6000 with the 383/450hp through the bravo. Ran 55-5600 with a smaller cam and my alpha SS on the old boat.

Just sent my small blocks from the Powerplay to JC Performance on Wed hope to see 6000 rpm in the spring.

Unfortunately I am...have only failed one upper case gearset in 15 years...upgraded the vertical shafts to get rid of the o-ring groove stress risers..

Cruising RPM was really my goal and a trade off for me ...at WOT 5300rpm, I run about 4200 at 55mph..

Alpha drive with Hyromotive nose cone and over 950hrs. It is very tired in the lower though. The upper looks really good. Change the lube every 25hrs or so. Have a few more in the garage I'll make a nice one and add my other nose cone too this coming spring.
