I sure would not run 6 month old gas thru a new engine or any engine for that matter save maybe my lawnmower.

Pump it out and start fresh.
Toulene will bump it right back to 93 octane

I've used the blue Sta-bil the last several years, haven't had an issue so far, come spring everything fires up.

Top it off with high octane in the spring and don't run too hard on the old fuel mixture. Anyway, that's what I do.

I have used StaBil for years and find it works very well. I have even gone a season without using it (not planned) and it still works in the tractor although I would not run it in the boat.

All the marinas around here have had better luck with k100 than startron with the e10 and I would just drain the tank and put fresh in when you get the new engine in I just put two motors in mine and figured fresh fuel was worth not chasing contaminated fuel issues when tuning the engines

We dump in the Stabil every year...but does anybody REALLY know the if it works? It would be nice to see some real test results of what Stabil actually does for the octane level of gasoline after 6 mo vs no Stabil added. Remember STP?

How much do you guys think you need to do to mix in the stabilizers? I was going to add it before I trailered home but forgot to. So I just dumped it in and ran the motors for about 20 min. each while I winterized. Should I pull the boat around the block?

I usually dump a bunch in before I go for the last ride, I figure that mixes it up pretty well. I also try to run the tank as low as possible, then throw in some 93 at the start of the season. I quick lap around the block couldn't hurt to get it mixed into the tank.
