Jon, I treat mine with Stabil when I winterize. I generally run them for twenty minutes or so to warm them. I change the oil and filters and separators, then run them again to anti-freeze. I empty the separators to check for water. I will check the separators again in the spring, after the first time out on the water. So far, I haven't had any water accumilation.

I always figured about .5 loss in octane per month and bump it up in the Spring with higher octane fuel. I did it for 6 years that way on my 525SC and never had an issue.

I just chase it down the fill tube with some gas.

I usually will go through a tank or two of gas in October. Those fill-ups all include Sta-Bil.

But would you risk running one of YOUR motors on old, stale, possibly phase seperated fuel???????????????

I just pump it into a holding tank and burn it in my truck before it ges old.

Saves a load of possible very expensive grief.
