Default overheat?

Still pretty new to this board, but it has been very helpful. Hopefully some one can help me with this one!Just installed B&m 250 with 5lb boost to my 2001 500hp carb engine.Boat is a 2001 checkmate convincor.Everything works great exept after getting on plane and cruising from low to middle to high rpms engine water temp is 130-135 degrees. After slowing down and idling in gear and maintaining slow speed engine water temp jumps quickly to about 180-200 degrees thus triggering warning light. After approx 1-3 min engine water temp quickly drops to normal. Is this standard after installing blower? Is this okay for my engine?I would appreciate any input you guys might have. thanks. PS running 27p hydromotive.producing 79mph at 5000 rpm. Trying 29p mirage tommorrow.

I am not a blower expert but I know that by forcing more air into the cylinders you generate more heat. There are some trick ways to cool a motor when supercharging. I am just not sure how it is done. I'm sure others n this board can answer that.
