new shifter came today and got a little more done on my upgrades
My new shifter showed up today. Should be a big improvement over the commander 3000 that's in it now. Cant wait to install it and see how it feels and works! I also managed to get some more work done on the motor. Other than some misc small things to finish up and piping the exhaust out the back its ready to fire. I ordered some custom made exhaust tips from stainless marine last week and they should be here tomorrow. The exhaust will no longer exit below the water line anymore. should sound pretty good! All-and-all, it's been a fun project and i've done a lot of work in the past several months.
It started out as a stock 454/330hp. I put a small cam in it, went with 396 closed chamber heads to bump up the compression to 9 to 1, installed stainless marine exhaust, msd ignition, a edelbrock performer rpm intake, holley 750dp, roller rockers, an hp6 filter head with -12 hoses, tossed the mechanical fuel pump for an electric pump, upgraded the fuel filter/water separator, etc....
