Default Who's running stainless marine manifolds w/standard risers

Ive got SM manifolds currently with the standard risers with silent choice exhaust on a 502mpi. Rebuilding right now and im concerned with reversion issues when running bigger cams. Wondering what you guys are running for cams with the same setup and if you had reversion issues or not. thanks.

I have a 502 mag with a whipple installed by the previous owner, not sure of the cam but suspect it is not stock. Late last summer I had a set of IMCO Power Flow manifolds and SS short risers installed so I could keep my silent choice. Long story short i had a reversion issue with the short risers. Young Performance Marine cleaned up the mess and extended the short risers doing away with the silent choice. The risers look great! hard to tell they were not the long risers to bergin with.

It all comes down to lobe separation. When you start to tighten it up the risers have to get taller.

I couldn't agree more. Jerry from Stainless is the man. I met him in person at his plant a month ago. He pressure tested a used set of manifolds for me and sold me some used standard risers with brackets for a VERY reasonable price. Give him a call. I'm sure he will be very helpful!
