Cometic sells a .027" with a 4.53 bore.gasket. I just bought a couple off ebay, best price I could find. I ran 12cc domes for years with 116cc aluminum heads on 89 oct. I think you will be fine with the 13.8cc pistons, iron 115cc heads and 91 octane. FWIW, the engines I built this winter I couldn't get the cc piston I wanted in one engine so I bought solid dome pistons (18cc) and had them fly cut to the cc I wanted. There's more than one way to skin a cat.

I got cc of heads today there 781 heads with 115cc.
the 454 is a 4.29 bore and 4" stroke
The lowest forged domed piston i found was from speedpro it was a 13.8cc dome, they had alot of 18cc domes. 13.8 dome volume would put me around 9.1 compression ratio, I only have around 91 octane readily available. Im going to try to run a compressed gasket around .038 will this set up be save regarding piston slapping valves/head??
Does anyone recommend a thinner gasket?
Thanks All

I just purshased forged pistons 13.8 cc dome volume and .1 dome height , with 1.645 compression distance should leave me .02 to deck height plus .027 cometic gasket = .047 should be a 9.33:1
Do i have to worry at all about clearance issues.?

You always need to degree in the cam and check piston to valve clearance. If all is correct you will not have clearance issues. The .047 quench height is good too. You will need to run good fuel, and keep the timing conservative with iron heads and 9.33 static compression, but it should run well.
