bleeding power steering
I am bleeding the power steering in my twin engine setup.I can only run one engine at a time due to the water hookup. When I run the one engine and turn the wheel the resivoir will empty and pump into the non running engine and makes a mess. The drives turn although rough and with alot of effort, but the non running resivior overflows.Do I need to do the bleeding with both engines running. Also will the rams purge them selfes with the turning of the wheel when both engines and pumps are running.I need to know asap I am splashing the boat tommorrow.(Afther I clean the bilge, what a freaking mess)

Is this a new power steering system? If your system is totally hydraulic, from the helm to the rams, it should be totally sealed. The only vent should be in the reservoir mounted above both pumps. Hope this helps.
