Trim pump set up . .questions

My boat which is in the midst of being re-rigged will be getting K-Planes added. This is a Magnum 27.

I am retaining the Volvo 280 drives which have power trim, and have two new trim pumps . .

As I can't see a time when one would adjust the K planes and outdrive trim simutaneously, why not set up the two new pumps that I have to operate both the drives and the drive trim. I see this as a simple 4 solenoid valves

all are normally open

actuate the trim button for the stbd drive and a solenoid for the stbd tab closes . . actuate the tab and the other solenoid to the drive closes . .

This would eliminate two trim pumps . . . thoughts???

input please!

Mario,,cool idea but i would think their would not be enough fluid to fill the all cylinders unless you have a extra large capacity reservoir tank for the fluid..

good point, but as I think about it , when would you have drives up and tabs down?

Is it worth the trouble to save about 15lbs? Now if you lose 1 pump you've lost all trim of any sort on that side of the boat and the ability to swap lines to the working pump to power the drive trim or tab to get home. IMO
