Default Valve covers and roller rockers

Does anyone know if crane roller rockers will fit under the stock stamped steel mark 4 valve covers and or will they fit under the stock aluminum Gen 5 valve covers?

Thanks Anthony

HHMMM interesting. Did you try it? Im asking because we have a stock set of the 420 hp aluminum finned valve covers on there now and they clear. But they arent baffled and we are having an issue with blow by. So I have the other two pairs and they are baffled and from a quick look they all look the same height so I would like to try them. But before doing so I thought I would ask.

Thanks Anthony

I did but it was like 20 years ago. I believe the problem was the baffles or maybe some of the polylocks.I actually still have them on a shelf in my basement. After reading this I looked at them and I had removed the baffle from one of them. The other still had the baffle in it but neither had ever been used.I may have removed the baffle and seen it still wouldn't work. Been so long I can't remember exactly but I went to a tall stamped set. Then I trashed those because they leaked so bad at the breather holes and now run tall aluminum that are slant cut to clear the exhaust and have tall breather stacks on them. Works perfect. No leaks and no hoses.

Stock Gen V Merc valves will clear as long as you grind off the drip tabs. Depending on which rockers you have, you may need to grind the corner off a couple intake rocker arms to clear the baffle.
