125 to 130 on the starboard head 100 to 105 0n the other. Temp gage never goes above 125 -130 on the city water hose. Stat installed with holes drilled from Eddie Marine? Ideas. Really wishin I had left the pump on. This is more trouble than it is worth!

OK. This kit is brand new from Eddie Marine, just installed. I wonder what my odds are of getting my $$$ back from them. HA! HA! I will order another unit with a by pass. I hope somebody from Eddie reads these posts because they told me what unit to purchase and install. Then said they have never heard of any problems when called to discuss the issues. Perhaps thier salesman are not practicing boaters. Or perhaps they are sailsmen not powerboaters Thanks again

OK guys. I dropped the bucks and bought another crossover with the by-pass. Had it over nighted $$, installed it, and guess what? No Change. Still the same as described above. Now what? Next thing is to throw the whole freekin thing away, buy a new water pump and pulley, reconfigure the belts back to the way they were and try to put this nightmare behind me? What do you think?

It should work, its the same one I use. I have been using it for 6 or 7 years. Did you drill holes in the thermostat? That has to be done to release steam/air, it kind of ballances things out. The only problem I have had with mine is when the water is really cold I cannot get the engine over about 130 deg, I like mine to run at about 160. Good luck and be patient with it, your problem may be somwhere else.

When was the last time you changed your impeller? Is the water coming out of the exaust even on both sides? Try puting it in the water and runing it and then check the temp.
