Question Boat Life bunks, carpet or Felt??

I need to cover the wood on my lift, the orignial bunks had something that looks like grey felt.

I've seen the white plastic stuff for trailers, but don't want to use that, don't need it slippery.

Boat floats on, and lifts straight up.

So on the fence of Marine carpet or Felt??

My guess is that marine carpet will be a bit more durable.
