Default 502EFI Won't rev past 3500 RPM

I have a 2000 25' daytona with a murcruiser 502 EFI with a procharger supercharger on it. I had a problem with the procharger and took it off to send back, and it did rev just fine with it on. Now with it off and the inner cooler still on as soon as it hits 3500RPM its like someone cut the fuel off and goes back to idle. I can run it right back up to 3000 RPM, it runs fine till I hit 3500 and same think.. I'm just stumped and not sure what could be going on. The guys and procharger told me that it should run just fine with the supercharger off and not have to do anything else... I could use someone's help please.
Thanks Brad

What does the fuel pressure do between 3000 and 3500rpm? I know the PC kits use a FMU regulator...did you go back to the stock fuel pressure regulator?

Its a long shot but by chance did you break the shift selector switch when you reinstalled the procharger? If so the ECM could think the drive is in nuetral and the will go into gaurdian mode at 3500.

You are in guardian mode. You are going to need to take your boat to a Marine Shop that has a scan tool and delete the codes. A good question is, what happened to make it go into guardian? We are not a big fan of the pro chargers because they can be evil with fuel and do not have a solid efi program. In this situation, the comp should specify the code/problem which you can fix (low water psi, low fuel psi, high water temp, low oil psi, etc)...
