Exactly, most boats are ALREADY 2-3 sizes too rich so that when you do get perfect air it won't melt down, add 10 to that and your talking oil with alot of gas in it, Smitty

Rule of thumb from Holley for a 35 degree temp swing the carb jetting will be effected by one jet size. So if you are tuned on the edge of lean in 95 degree weather and now you are boating in 60 degree weather you would fatten up one jet size if you want to maintain the same A/F ratio. Most of us are running a tad on the fat side so it really isn't necessary.

Then Holley recommends when changing jets to go two steps rather than one bacause the tolerances of the jets may work out that there is no change at all moving one jet size at a time. Like others have said there is likely no benefit to re-jetting for slightly cooler fall air. With the cooler air and slightly leaner A/F it might just run like a raped ape!

If your boats slows down when cool weather rolls in...you are lean....but if it picks up...normal or a tad rich...
