I have a 1986 searay pachanga 22 with a 350 chevy and a 21 pitch prop what kind a top speed should I get?

-Also an '86 22 Pachanga owner, 350 Mag powered had it for 10 yrs. very well made little boats.

I've played with countless props on my 22 during the years. If you run light, no junk in the cabin and typically one or two on board, it will run the best with a Merc stainless 23 Tempest. The 23 Lazer is a very close second choice. The boat likes the small diameter. My 22P will pull 4900rpm with a light load, I've seen a best of 62.9 gps. Not bad for a stock 350 Mag.

Also had an 86 for several years, 350 mag, 21p factory prop. High 50's low 60's boat any day. Very nice, well built boat.

What is the weight of the boat?
What is the length of the beam (width)
What version/HP of the 350. Probably in the 250hp or lower range.
What Outdrive Gear Ratio on the Alpha One?

I think the weight is the key to your top speed. Is the hull a true V hull or a Pad V?

Speed could range from 45mph to 53mph (GPS) depending on the questions above
