You want an oil with lots of anti-corrosion properties in the additive package. 20W-50 synthetics like Mobil-1 have a lot of this as does the oil that is formulated for Mercury.

mobile 1 20-50 v twin Im still amazed how well it works Take a hard run than read oil pressure when you back off and idle. Change oil with 20-50 v twin and repeat hard run and idle pressure is at least 5 to 7 lbs higher at least that what I found
