Yes, I understand.....it's just that a good smooth idle/drivability quaility is very important to me. There are places I go boating that require long idling periods....like 45-60 minutes and I do not want the engines loading up, etc. Besides, it's just what I prefer and like.

I may only boat about 12 times a season if that, but you're right....actually, Fuel Injection is another interesting item----it's only another $10-12k or so. Being that I am new to the supercharging world and that I already have the 14-71's and carbs from purchasing the boat, I think I am going to see if I can make it all work based on all the discovered information I have found in the last few days. And I'm still learning.

Roots version. Thanx
Dustin has a post on here somewhere explaining the difference. I believe it has to do with which rotor is the driven one.

As I have said before, if Whipple has the 4.0L listed on their website I cannot find it, but by what Eddie says, the 4.0L is a no carb version and it answers one of my questions.

I'd keep your 14/71's, spend the money you'd save on the Whipple's on EFI, get a cam from Bob, and idle smooth all day with reliable power. Just my opinion.

Ben, Just curious as to why you are selling them? What size engines did you have them on and what application?

Haxby, probably not going to do the EFI this time around, but that sounds like good advice to me.

They are on 604ci motors. No problems.....I have the chance to get bigger heads and would do it only if these could be sold.
