Default Camshaft number, what is it?

Hello all,
I have a cam out of a 502efi with a full roller setup, problem is I can't seem to find out who makes this cam or the specs on it. The numbers stamped on it are 169516 02J2A any info about it would be great!
Thanks.

all Mercury cams are a propriatary part for them. who ever made it for them might tell you something about it but usually the will just tell you it is a Merc part number and you have to talk to them. what do you need to know about it?

Long story but in short, I bought a complete running motor 502efi .30 over with full roller setup and ecm programing ect.. for my baja repower and was told it had 575hp, With that motor I also got it's twin as a parts motor. I am parting that motor out and would like to have the cam specs for people but also for my own knowledge. I am looking at the parts used on this motor and trying to decide if 575hp is real number. I do know that these motors were in a cig 31 bullet and got that baby to 82-83mph gps. the boys in the cigarette forum say it takes about 600 per side to get that boat going that fast...Hmmm?

I found out that the cam is a crane 731, so at least now I know what cam is in the motor. I was also told that its very unlikely for that motor to be rated at 575hp, as the stock mpi intake manifold is not good for much more than 525hp.
Thanks

I would say you are right about the motor not pushing 575. Stock heads, intake and so on with .030 over + 731 cam, my guess is between 500-525 hp at best.

pretty sure that boat was at 78, and a bullet takes about 575 each side to break 80

Lil Red, so you know gene's cig too? I was told low 80's but hey who knows. All I can say is the price was right, I know who serviced it and that motor will be a nice upgrade over my 7.4 mpi. If all goes well we will be doing the swap in a couple weeks. Still waiting for a nice set of manifolds for a bravo with the silent choice system to show up on swap shop, Going to give it another week after that I 'am buying new.
