Default Does your bolsters stick up above the gunwale of your boat

Looking for some pictures to help me make a decision....

I bought some McLeod bolsters that came out of a formula and they are going to sit higher in my scarab then my current seats. I know I have seen some pics of boats with the seat backs of the bolsters sitting above the gunwale or the windshield sides but I was hoping to get some more visual references. I am trying to determine if it's going to look funny or if maybe I can shorten the legs some to help With the look. Here are what I have now and you can see how low they sit and here are the bolsters I bought!

i suppose you took a measuring tape to them to compare the height. the legs look like you can get away with customizing them at the bottom. it isn't so much the height of the seat backs. it is where your butt's gonna be when sitting on the seat part. go on boats.com and search high perf boats for sale. you can look at diff boat pics for hours and not see them all. how much for your old ones? i am in the middle of trying to learn how to redo my Nova-Scarab sit-down swivel style ones. these would be a come-up for me.

Yeah the seat cushion height is about 2.5 inches higher then my stock seats, I think I am going to take 3-4 inches out of the legs but this will still leave the seat back above the gunwale. Sounds like this is common though!

I will be selling my old ones once I am sure the new ones will work. Hope to do a test fit in the next 3-4 weeks. Your my first choice when I put them up for sale, thinking $800 obo + ride. I will let you know once I post in swap shop.
