Default Trim gauge problem

My trim gauge is pegged all the way up out of range. Is this a ground wire issue or something else??/

Wires are touching somewhere or a wire broke or fell off

It's most likely the sending unit on the gimbal ring.

Sending unit as said, or possible the swivel pin it mounts to worked loose and is moving.
