Every spring after I run through whatever gas was leftover from the previous season I change my water/fuel separating filter and dump its contents into a foil pan. Every year there are a few water bubbles floating around the bottom of the pan. That is all I need to know concerning whether or not I need a filter and if it is working.

NEVER LEAVE HOME WITH OUT F/W SEPARATOR IN LINE........AND FROM EXPERIENCE OF DRIFTING AROUND FOR A COUPLE HOURS AND A LITTLE "MCGYVER" ACTION WITH A KNIFE AND BLACK TAPE..... A SPARE CANNISTER ONBOARD
