Default Re-Prop: Who's a good brand to go with?

I'm currently looking to purchase a prop for my ride
however i'm not quite sure what brand to go with
there's a lot out there and of course everyone claims to be "the best"
if anyone could offer their suggestions i'd appreciate it

It all depends on the boat - motor - speed - what you are looking for the prop to do. Tell us about it.

the boats an 88 IMP 25.5 feet
454 cid w/around 370hp
i've only had it about a month and a half
the previous owner put a 19p prop on it
basically i want to increase my top end speed
the way i see it right now with no other work to the boat
it should be in the 60's
with the current prop its a dog

Whats your rpm with the 19? I would think a 3 blade mirage 23 pitch would be close, but a 4 blade bravo prop,or a 4 blade revolution would most likely work well- They would offer better handling and come real close to the top speed of the mirage. But all boats act a little different, sometimes it is best to try several different props to find what works best on your hull. Hope this helps.

it'll turn around 4800 rpm w/the 19.
its only good for upper 40s
too slow for my blood
thats recently however
the river has gotten up to 82 degrees and the motor doesn't
run as well as when the temp was cooler
the best its done for me is 52mph
i need more speed guys

Hey, You have a 1.50:1 bravo
I would call around to see who has prop swap programs first
Get a few bucks together, leave a deposit and walk with like 3 -4 different props
try them out, whichever one you like, you buy
Remember, you have a 330 engine on steroids, you dont want to over rev that or your going to be singin my blues brother!
Trenton might have prop swap going on over there, I know Pontarelli's does
Brian has a few 23's 24's and 25's to play with
hell maybe all you need is a 21
I would think you would not be happy with that though
remember, the more pitch, the more sluggish it is going to be out of the hole!!!
something to consider
I would try a 21 and 23 first
if the 23 is really solid try at 25 or 24 but hold on to the 23
Maybe a hydro?
If you lab any prop your going to see a mph out of it or two ish

i think i'm going to start with a 23
i know experimenting with different pitch props is the way
to go
more or less i don't want to buy a junk prop
whose a reputable company?
the current prop is a PowerTech
are they any good?
