I have a serious Marine Kinetics roller for a small block that I'm looking to sell. Bob Madura spec'd it for my 383 with TFS heads. Big power in the 6k rpm range. Needs good, really good exhaust.

Dennis Moore, try to find this guy to talk to he knows his stuff about small block marine motors and cams. He is the author of Small-Block Chevy Marine Performance: Engine Modifications for Maximum Boating Performance.

I started a thread on this some time ago and some really experienced folks with personal knowledge chimed in. Recap: Heads do not allow cam change i.e. additional lift due to interference with the valve guides plus lack of flow. Intake is designed for low-end torque and will be a bottleneck. So you have your choice of high performance iron heads (World Products or RHS) if you are raw water cooled or a variety of aluminum heads. Crane makes some great hydraulic rollers with duration at .050 around 220-228 degrees and a bit over .500 lift. THe intake is a scorpion complete replacement and it was recommended to go with a larger throttle body and a computer retune. CMI exhaust puts the package at around 420+ prop horsepower. Raising the compression is nice if you don't mind using 89 rated fuel. For me with twin engines that have very low hours it made better sense to buy another boat rather than spend the funds to pump up dual 6.2s. It would be nice to have an 80 m.p.h. small block Fountain if I had bucks to burn!
