What kind of oil does my Weiland 177 need?

75W90 gear oil. Brad Penn makes a specific blower oil also.

Haven't you ever changed it????? I used to change mine every 30 or so hours. I used Merc gear lube and my 177 had 500hrs on it and was still going strong when I sold it.

BTW, you have to suck it out of the front and rear. They are separate from each other.

Of course not, stupid

I don't think you put that many hours on it anymore and realistically, the lube is probably fine for 100+ hours.

Don't overfill it either. It should be at the notch on the front dipstick without the dipstick actually being screwed in.
