Default KE fuel pump upgrade concerns

i just installed a ke fuel pump upgrade to my fuel pump. the fuel pressure is running anywhere from 4 to 11 lbs not consistent at all. need some help with where to start. engine was just rebuilt and dont want to lean it out
engine is hp500 carb fuel pump on the sea pump thanks for any help adam

Adam,
Are you using a dry or liquid filled fuel pressure gauge? Also, did you use the fittings supplied with the pumps or re-plumb them to fit your application? I assume the pressure is higher when the motor is cold then will drop when it gets warmer? I have had multiple issues with liquid filled gauges before.. drain the liquid and try again... good luck.

its a liquid filled gauge, and all aeromotive fuel line using the fittings that where on the pump thanks
